Connect provides UCSB’s messaging and collaboration services. The core components include e-mail, calendaring, and online collaborative drive storage, which are based on Google Workspace for Education.
Overview
Based on Google Workspace for Education, Connect provides UC Santa Barbara's communication and collaboration services. Core communication components include email and calendaring in addition to other useful applications. A contract between the University of California and Google governs Connect Core Services.

If you encounter an issue with any of the above services, you can submit a support ticket or call x5000.
There are additional services* in the App Launcher that are available for your use, such as:

*Although these additional services are not fully supported, we are committed to maintaining their integrity and accessibility at all times.
Google Classroom and Google Sites are not enabled on UCSB's Google Workspace instance. This status is regularly reviewed as these service offerings evolve.
Request Information
Follow the login links to access Connect Google Workspace using a web browser. Click the Google Workspace Apps launcher icon in the upper right corner and you will see the list of applications. You can change the order of these icons by dragging them within the drop-down window. Click More at the bottom for additional services.
Google Workspace Apps Marketplace is an online store for web applications that work with Google Apps. It offers Connect Google Workspace users business applications that are integrated with Google Workspace, such as security, productivity, document management, and project management tools.
You can access the Marketplace directly from your inbox when using the Google Workspace Web application. Click the App Launcher, click More, and scroll to the bottom for More from the Apps Marketplace.
Use the sidebar to browse apps by category or you can use the search field at the top to search for a specific app. If you see an app you’re interested in, click it to go to a description page where you can get app details, watch a demo video, see user reviews and ratings, and install the app.

Visit the IT Services Catalog at ucsb.service-now.com/it and click on the Messaging, Collaboration, and Communications Services box, then Messaging, Collaboration, and Communications Problem; Cloud File Sharing; Connect Calendaring; or Connect Email.
Service Level Agreements (SLA)
The Service Level Agreement (SLA) for this service is based on Google with the IT Services Catalog providing local support hours.
